We work closely with referring physicians to coordinate treatment by indentifying initial functional limitations, objective changes, assessment of pathology, functional goals, recommended treatment with frequency and duration.

If a patient does not make functional and objective changes as anticipated in our initial goals, we will contact the physician to discuss the possible need for other treatment options.

We will communicate with the physician, via written letter, a minimum of every 30 days, sooner if the patient is discharged or does not progress as anticipated.

We will help the referring physician to:

- Identity what specific subjective and objective factors the physical therapist is using to assess a change in patient status.

- Interpret physical therapy chart notes to understand why a specific treatment is being used and how the treatment is being assessed and progressed.

- Identify back to work readiness.
